Job Title: Horticultural Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Horticultural Specialist to join our team at Exceed Human Resource Consultants Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating new variety evaluations, technical field days for growers, and field trials as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all new variety evaluations, selective technical field days for growers, and field trials when needed.
• Carry out preparatory tasks for the pack-shed and execute field trials on request by the Technical Manager.
• Collect and capture pre- and post-harvest trial data accurately.
• Assist in annual administration and tasks, including orchard census, crop estimation, maturity indexing, and picking standards.
• Represent the company at industry events related to pre-harvest disciplines.

Requirements:

• BSc Agriculture Degree
• Three to five years of experience in horticulture or a related field
• Good knowledge of horticulture, soil science, and/or entomology
• Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit and healthy to perform the duties required
• Good observation and problem-solving skills, as well as decision-making abilities
• Valid Driver's license
