Role Overview:

The IT Audit Senior Manager is tasked with the comprehensive planning, scoping, and management of a dedicated team to facilitate the transformation of financial statement and internal audits. This role aims to maximize the utilization of our client's information systems and available technologies to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and ensure optimal assurance and differentiation.

This position involves overseeing teams in the execution of large-scale or intricate audit assignments.

Additionally, the role encompasses advising clients on managing risks linked to information management, IT governance, business systems risk management, project risk management, and information security.

Proven experience in conducting IT audits and evaluating the IT systems of both external and internal audit clients, particularly within the Banking, Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Markets, and Insurance sectors, is essential for this role.

Experience with IT Attestation audits (ISAE3402, SOC 1) and PCAOB audits is a plus.

As a Performance Manager, you will also guide junior colleagues in their objectives, performance, and career development, alongside other operational responsibilities within the division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze audit strategies and plans

  • Collaborate with audit and internal audit partners and managers
  • Lead and manage teams
  • Provide insights to audit clients regarding IT aspects of their businesses through presentations and reports

  • Facilitate client interactions and problem-solving
  • Identify potential business development opportunities
  • Report findings to key stakeholders, investigating mitigating controls for deficiencies
  • Conduct report writing
  • Enhance capabilities and methodologies in system-based auditing and data analytics
  • Oversee performance management of assigned colleagues

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • BCom / BSc degree is mandatory; Honours degree is advantageous
  • A minimum of 8 years of IT Audit experience
  • Experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier Audit Firm is preferred
  • CISA, CRISC, or relevant professional certification is preferred
