Job Description

**Job Title:** Strategic Programme Director

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Strategic Programme Director to lead our programme management team at Boardroom Appointments. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating discussion with business stakeholders, investigating potential solutions, and creating business cases to obtain approval from relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scope and Plan Projects: Facilitate discussion with relevant business stakeholders to scope the project with its benefits, investigate and explore potential solutions, and create a business case in collaboration with business stakeholders, including costs and benefits with the proposed solution.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Engage with vendors to obtain input to the plan, facilitate process to allocate and secure resources to projects, and formulate target operating models (TOMs) in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Business Strategy: Contribute to the development of the BU business strategy by providing a view on potential improvements for products or services, demonstrating an understanding of the Company business environment and context within which projects are managed.
  • Team Management: Take full responsibility for performance management of all direct reports, managing their performance about quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives, focusing on all aspects of sound people management.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Proactively communicate and share information and encourage discussion and debate, read the cultural environment and adapt communication style to meet the needs of different audiences, and anticipate and manage conflict.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure that the necessary project information is made available for management information tracking, status reporting, and accurate administration, drive the financial business cases to ensure comprehensive cost management, constructed by project custodians, for identified initiatives, and identify, manage, and respond to risks and issues when necessary.
  • Business Excellence: Drive best-in-class solutions and practices, follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained, stay relevant and up to date with legislation and new developments, and maintain positive attitude and respond openly to feedback.
