Tax Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Tax Technician to join our team at South Cape Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our tax administration services.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of Tax Returns: You will be responsible for preparing income tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Tax Administration Support: Assist with tax administration tasks, providing exceptional service to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Calculation and Preparation: Prepare complex tax calculations, including VAT and EMP201 returns, ensuring timely submission and minimal errors.
- SARS Engagement: Provide assistance with SARS objections, disputes, and verifications, as well as support with tax clearance applications.
- Client Communication: Develop strong relationships with clients, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Experience and Qualifications: While experience in tax and accounting is beneficial, it is not required. Holding an accounting or tax qualification is also advantageous but not necessary.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills, with excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Administrative and Time Management Skills: Demonstrate efficient administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Numeracy and Attention to Detail: Display numeracy skills and maintain high levels of attention to detail to ensure accurate work production.
The estimated salary range for this position is R250,000 - R350,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth and development within the company.
