Responsibilities

  1. Lead crushing and screening plant production, driving performance and efficiency.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, focusing on meeting or exceeding targets.
  3. Manage resource allocation to minimize equipment downtime, ensuring timely delivery of materials to the jaw crusher bin.
  4. Collaborate with the engineering foreman to plan and schedule maintenance, minimizing production disruptions.
  5. Conduct regular site inspections with the shift supervisor and engineering foreman to identify potential issues before they impact production.
  6. Guide shift supervisors on best practices for feed management, emphasizing the importance of using correct feed for the plant.
  7. Oversee production operations, preventing interruptions and optimizing process efficiency.
  8. Maintain quality standards by collaborating with supervisors to address any deviations from size specifications.
  9. Provide targeted training and development programs for supervisors and operators.
  10. Identify and implement process improvements where feasible.

Requirements

  1. Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  2. Relevant mining Health and Safety certifications
  3. Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in production management or supervision within a mining environment.
