About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Director to join our leadership team in Cape Town. This role will be pivotal in driving the company's financial performance and ensuring statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Financial Strategies: Create and implement financial strategies that support the company's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Manage Financial Operations: Oversee the company's financial accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
  • Cash Flow Management: Optimize cash flow management, timing payments and collections to support company liquidity.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure the company's compliance with all tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns.
  • Debt Finance Raising: Support debt providers as required, managing relationships and reporting.
Requirements:
  • CA(SA) Registration: Registered CA(SA) Chartered Accountant.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in a senior role, preferably in Project Accounting, Management Accounting, Divisional Accounting, and Financial Modelling.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of corporate finance, Forex, and taxation (local and foreign), with experience in IFRS AFS preparation.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, IT platforms, and databases, as well as various accounting software package options.
Location and Travel:

Located in or willing to relocate to Cape Town. Ability and willingness for 15%+ travel as required.

Salary:

R1 200 000 - R1 800 000 per annum, depending on experience.
