Your key responsibilities will include:

  2. Providing mentorship and guidance to junior fund accountants and reviewing their prepared fund valuations to ensure accurate calculations.
  3. Generating and distributing daily valuation files.
  4. Responsibility for income distribution and TER calculations, providing them to clients timeously.
  5. Reviewing processes to assess continuous improvement and automation opportunities and presenting recommendations to management.
  6. Maintaining and updating documentation processes.
  7. Communicating and responding to internal and client queries, assisting team leaders and managers in resolving such queries.
  8. Dealing with client queries and audit queries.
  9. Communicating and answering team queries on funds.
  10. Performing valuation quality assurance reviews and ensuring consistent output quality.
  11. Management and oversight of production schedule and client deliveries in the team leader's absence.
  12. Assisting in implementing projects, checks, and controls to mitigate risk.

You will need:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a fund accountant.
  • A BCom or similar accounting, economics, or investments background.
  • Experience in Asset Management portfolio administration and pricing.
  • Knowledge of investment products, including Unit Trusts, Multi-Manager, Segregated Portfolios, ETFs, and pooled products, locally or internationally.
  • IT and systems skills, particularly Invest One.
  • An excellent working knowledge of MS Office and IT packages, especially Excel.
