The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Professional Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Acute Renal Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care, managing unit operations, and empowering staff to deliver high-quality nursing practice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring that patient care is delivered in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with the unit manager to ensure safe and effective patient care, mitigating risks and meeting clinical quality standards.
  • Staff Development: Empower and develop staff competence through continuous assessment, coaching, and training.
  • Operational Excellence: Assist in the effective management of operational expenses, including supply chain optimization and cost control.
Requirements
  • Education: A Degree or Diploma in General Nursing is essential. Postgraduate qualifications in a speciality area are desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a senior nursing role is required.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proven leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of nursing legislation, infection prevention, and scientific principles.
