Master Fabricator

R.A.W. GROUP is seeking a highly skilled Master Fabricator to join their team in George, Western Cape.

This is a full-time position that requires a Boilermaker with extensive experience in structural steel fabrication and construction industry.

The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification, relevant training, and/or certifications in Boilermaking, as well as proven work experience as a boilermaker or similar role.

• Taking and reading measurements to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER to guarantee maximum productivity.
• Proficiency in Mig, Tig, and Arc Welding to deliver high-quality results.
• Planning layouts and procedures for fabrication to optimize processes.
• Determining the most suitable welding equipment or machinery for each project.
• Setting up components for welding with precision and attention to detail.
• Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety standards.
• Conducting site meetings to review project milestones, assess work quality, identify any deviations from the plan, and ensure that construction activities align with specifications and design intent.
• Able to manage, guide, and lead a team to ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time completion in compliance with plans and specifications.

• Trade Qualification, relevant training, and/or certifications in Boilermaking.
• Proven work experience as a boilermaker or similar role.
• Previous experience in structural steel fabrication and construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction methods and technologies.
• Ability to read, interpret, and fabricate from workshop drawings.
• Strong leadership skills, project coordination, and time management.

An attractive salary range of R450,000 - R550,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
