Job Description

The DevOps Analyst is a critical role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of applications and systems. This position requires strong technical skills, business acumen, and excellent communication abilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, and risk assessment to meet specific business needs or user areas.
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing, and deployment into production.
  • Liaise with internal technology groups and vendors to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Provide technical support for users of Citi applications, including quick resolutions to app issues and driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements.
  • Manage, maintain, and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations.
  • Perform start of day checks, continual monitoring using ITRS/Geneos, and end of day handovers.
  • Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner.
  • Raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams while adhering to Service Level Agreements.
  • Consider implications of technology applications to the current environment, identifying risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues, and communicate impact.
  • Analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgments.
  • Recommend security measures in post-implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.
  • Partner with development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical support documents.
  • Review and develop application contingency planning to ensure continuity of business to users.
  • Communicate with stock exchanges in raising queries and production issues, demonstrating knowledge of market structure, legal requirements, and order routing.
  • Serve as an advisor to stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
