About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning PLCs and field instrumentation, as well as preventative maintenance or scheduled maintenance on these systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning PLCs and field instrumentation;
- Preventative maintenance or scheduled maintenance on PLCs and field instrumentation;
- Corrective maintenance on PLCs and field instrumentation;
- Knowledge and competency in the Electrical Panels or Apparatus, Transducer, Motors, UPSs, Drives, etc. in fault finding, implementation, design, and commissioning;
- Responsible for providing dedicated technical and operational systems support to the process division, as well as ensuring that all systems are maintained and optimized;
- Installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning the Electrical Panels or Apparatus, Transducer, Motors, UPSs, Drives;
- Preventative maintenance or scheduled maintenance on the Electrical Panels or Apparatus, Transducer, Motors, UPSs, Drives;
- Corrective maintenance on the Electrical Panels or Apparatus, Transducer, Motors, UPSs, Drives;
- Logistics engineering tasks such as Systems Configuration control;
- Responsibility for appropriate allocated ad hoc tasks (e.g., organisational, technical, sea going, diving, SHEQ, etc.).
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a National Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation) and at least 3-5 years of experience as a technician, with 2-3 years of experience in wiring control & instrumentation panels. You should also have experience in product testing, test specifications, and test procedures, as well as interfacing equipment at signal level, electronic design, radar, electronic warfare, and communications systems.
Salary: The estimated salary for this position is R500,000 - R700,000 per annum.
