We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our culinary team at Flynn Lodge Aged Care Home in Alice Springs. As a cook, you will play a vital role in planning, preparing, handling, and storing meals for our residents.
This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $30.44 - $32.27 dependent on qualifications and prior experience.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking meals for residents
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met
- Working collaboratively with other kitchen staff
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or a similar discipline
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a commercial cook environment, preferably within a Health or Aged care facility
- Holds or willing to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate to the 3.2.2A standard
- Demonstrated prior experience in menu development and working with multiple dietary requirements
