About the Role

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation and standards, as well as experience in conducting safety inspections, audits, and investigations. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining SHEQ policies and procedures, providing training and guidance to employees and customers, and monitoring and tracking SHEQ performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Conducting regular safety inspections, internal and external audits, and investigations.
  • Investigating accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Providing training and guidance on SHEQ matters.
  • Monitoring and tracking SHEQ performance indicators.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Matric or Grade 12 / NQF 4 learning ability.
  • Proven experience of at least 2 (two) years in a similar SHEQ role.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to interpret information and formulate reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
