The South African National Blood Service is looking for a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Scientist to join their team in the Virology Reference Laboratory. As a key member of the laboratory, you will be responsible for performing specialized virology and molecular reference and confirmatory tests for the organization and external customers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform specialized virology and molecular reference and confirmatory tests.
  2. Provide technical expertise to internal and external customers.
  3. Participate in research initiatives and contribute towards achieving and maintaining SANAS accreditation standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical science and experience working in a laboratory setting. A National Diploma in Biomedical Technology and HPCSA registration in Blood Transfusion or Virology are also required.
