Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Control Panel Project Manager to join our team at FM Staff in Cape Town. As a key member of our Panel Division, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project cycle, from design to delivery and invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with Customers to determine specifications and requirements
  • Designing and creating AutoCAD drawings of Control Panels according to Customer requirements
  • Attending Estimating meetings to generate quotations/proposals
  • Ensuring tenders/proposals meet commercial terms and conditions and technical requirements
  • Generating Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects
  • Liaising with Sub-Suppliers for specialized components
  • Overseeing the project cycle, including design, production, testing, and delivery
  • Coordinating with the Production Team as needed
  • Ensuring project timelines are kept to and identifying potential issues
  • Ensuring all contractual agreements are met
  • Arranging inspections and testing of Control Panels with QC
  • Handling Customer technical or other queries
  • Maintaining Customer relationships and upholding the Company image

Requirements:

  • At least three years' experience in Electrical Design of Control Panels
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or ability to learn quickly; proficiency in a Design Software used in Control Panel design
  • Electrical Engineering Degree / Diploma / N6
  • Good understanding of project cycles in manufacturing, exposure to Estimation beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • High level of detail orientation and organization
  • Driver's License (non-negotiable); own reliable transport to work and back
  • RSA Citizen
  • No criminal record

What We Offer:

Salary is negotiable, but we require your current salary and salary expectation for this role. Start date is open, with the possibility of quick employment. This role reports directly to the On-Site Manager of the Panel Division.
