Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled National Recovery Sales Manager to join our team in Cape Town.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with an initiative-taking and entrepreneurial mindset. You will develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to maximize sales and optimize recovery rates through optimizing existing sales channels and identifying new opportunities.

You will be responsible for ensuring an integrated short-term and long-term planning and forecasting process that aligns demand, supply, and financial objectives. Your focus will be on managing stock ageing, meeting or surpassing sales targets, and securing bulk transactions while maintaining acceptable recovery rates.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with key bulk buyers, understand their needs, and ensure exceptional customer service. Building out a pipeline of demand with buyers is also essential.

You will analyze sales data, prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior management to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies.

In addition, you will recruit, train, and manage a team of sales administrators across different regions. Providing guidance, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations is crucial.

Market insight is key, as you will need to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to identify new opportunities and tailor sales strategies accordingly.

You will collaborate with the operations team to ensure adequate stock levels, punctual delivery, and quality control of assessed stock. Budget management is also an essential aspect of this role.

To be successful in this position, you must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and proficiency in Excel.

A bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in business, marketing, or a related field is advantageous, along with 3-5 years minimum experience in sales, preferably within the e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or banking sectors.
