We are currently seeking a skilled Enrolled Nurse Assistant to join our team at Intercare Irene Medical and Dental Centre in Centurion, Pretoria. As an Enrolled Nurse Assistant, you will perform nursing duties in line with the South African Nursing Council's scope of practice while ensuring compliance with facility policies and procedures to deliver quality patient care.

Your Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  1. Deliver Exceptional Patient Care: Provide high-quality, friendly, and professional service aligned with patient care standards.
  2. Maintain a Safe and Clean Environment: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of nursing areas.
  3. Support Patient Enquiries: Handle basic patient queries related to services and escalate issues as necessary.
  4. Work within Your Scope of Practice: Work within the realms of the scope of practice and knowledge base in relation to current trends and advances to maintain competency level.
  5. Take Personal Accountability: Take personal accountability for decisions made and actions taken and/or omissions in the course of care delivery.
  6. Identify and Report Risks: Report concerns brought to your attention in order to provide safe nursing practices.
  7. Document Patient Information: Ensure documentation is in accordance with the policy and within the legal framework.
  8. Protect Patient Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity and safety at all times in compliance with POPIA.
  9. Dispose of Waste Properly: Ensure that the disposal of medical waste, human tissue and medicine is in accordance with legislation.
  10. Ensure Equipment Functionality: Ensure the efficient functioning of equipment, or reporting of any equipment failure that could pose a potential risk to patients or staff.
  11. Manage Inventory: Actively maintain stock management processes.
  12. Patient Flow Optimization: Ensure that the patient flow process is smooth, efficient and conducive to patient satisfaction.
  13. Complaint Resolution: Attend to customer complaints and escalate where required to line manager.
  14. Professional Standards: Ensure that protocols of professionals are adhered to at all times.

Your Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Minimum Qualification: Hold a minimum qualification of Matric / NQF 4 equivalent.
  2. Nursing Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years in a nursing role; 3 years recommended.
  3. Registration with SANC: Be registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary.
  4. Technical Skills: Demonstrate computer proficiency (MS Office).
  5. Flexibility: Be willing to work shifts and occasional overtime as required.
