Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective management of group consolidations, audits, and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Calculate, reconcile, and file tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Group Consolidations: Compile and submit group reporting templates and required documentation.
  • Financial Analysis: Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and prepare financial reporting packages.
  • Consolidated Financial Reports: Prepare and submit consolidated financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Divisional Management Accounts: Analyze divisional management accounts for accuracy and reasonability.
  • Financial Processes: Oversee the month-end and year-end financial reporting processes efficiently.
  • Financial Presentations: Assist in preparing consolidated financial presentations for executive and board meetings.
  • External Audits: Support external audits, ensuring smooth processes from planning to finalization.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and support business growth.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: CA(SA) qualification is required.
  • Industry Experience: Industry experience in construction, mining, or engineering is highly preferred.
  • Financial Experience: Proven experience with group consolidations, IFRS reporting, and drafting financial statements.
  • Tax Knowledge: Strong knowledge of income tax regulations and compliance.
  • Software Experience: Experience working with JDE or Hyperion accounting software.
  • Soft Skills: A proactive attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond in handling projects and meeting deadlines.
