About the Role


MECS Africa is seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of our EPC/EPCM projects.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage the project budget, ensure cost control, and identify opportunities for cost reduction
  • Develop and implement cost management plans, monitor expenses, and report variances
  • Procure materials, services, and labor in accordance with project requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers

Requirements



  • 6-8 years of experience in EPC/EPCM projects, preferably in fabrication and construction
  • Proven track record of managing budgets, costs, and contracts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements
