About the Role
MECS Africa is seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of our EPC/EPCM projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the project budget, ensure cost control, and identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Develop and implement cost management plans, monitor expenses, and report variances
- Procure materials, services, and labor in accordance with project requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in EPC/EPCM projects, preferably in fabrication and construction
- Proven track record of managing budgets, costs, and contracts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements
