We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technologist to join our team at Business Recruitment Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and machines, including trucks, forklifts and trailers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Vehicle Inspection and Diagnosis: Inspect vehicles to identify potential issues and perform diagnostic tests to determine the root cause of problems.
• Repair and Maintenance: Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems as needed.
• Test Driving: Test drive vehicles to ensure they are functioning properly and meet safety standards.
• Predictive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on service trucks to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of serviced vehicles and parts used.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for this role.
• Diesel Engine Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components and systems is essential.
• Physical Fitness: The ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
• Maintenance Tools: Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools is required.
