Project Development Director

We are looking for a dedicated Project Development Director to join our team in Gqeberha, with an estimated salary of around R800,000 - R1,000,000 per annum.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective coordination and implementation of programs in line with the strategic planning of Staff Unlimited Recruitment Pty Ltd T/A MPC Recruitment Group EC. This involves providing technical guidance and facilitating the development and delivery of high-quality programs and projects.
Key Functions:
- Program Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement program plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Team Management: Lead and manage high-performing teams, focusing on capacity building and growth.
- Fundraising: Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants from international donors and national governments.
- Financial Management: Oversee financial management, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in project management, development studies, social sciences, community development, monitoring and evaluation, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience managing development work in diverse teams, including complex setups.
- Significant experience in proposal writing and grants management, including for international donors and national governments.
- Good knowledge of development and human rights sectors.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Broad knowledge and awareness of current issues in development, management, and familiarity with international and national children's rights.
- Proven computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email management.
