Green Media is a platform where unsold products can be exchanged for valuable advertising, helping brands amplify their marketing reach.

We are looking for a versatile Financial Operations Manager & HR Generalist to join our team in Morningside, Sandton. This role combines core bookkeeping and HR tasks with the opportunity to independently lead projects, such as financial modeling and strategic business planning.

The ideal candidate will manage our finances, employee engagement, and IT queries in our medium-sized company with 25 staff members. They will work across our two divisions focused on in-store advertising and media exchange.

Main Responsibilities:

Finance:

  1. Manage Accounts Receivable, ensuring all billing is accurate.
  2. Handle debtor invoices, queries, statements, and credit control.
  3. Input new client data and maintain accurate records.
  4. Oversee Accounts Payable and ensure timely payments.
  5. Manage cash flow and perform all banking tasks.
  6. Develop business financial models, including break-even analysis, to support decision-making and budget planning using various software for independent financial planning projects.

HR:

  1. Facilitate and coordinate recruitment and selection processes with line managers.
  2. Create job descriptions, oversee onboarding, and screen candidates.
  3. Develop and maintain employee records.
  4. Handle employee relations, including issuing warnings and managing resignations.
  5. Manage and update HR policies and procedures.
  6. Serve as the point of contact for employee engagement and welfare.
  7. Coordinate staff welfare and entertainment events.
  8. Complete HR statutory returns (e.g., Equity returns, Dept of Stats returns, training submissions).

Payroll:

  1. Prepare monthly salary inputs (e.g., commissions, new staff).
  2. Send updated salary information to our outsourced accounting service provider.
  3. Manage BEE certification processes.
  4. Handle leave management and responses.
  5. Lead the Training and Health & Safety Committees.

IT Queries:

  1. Address minor IT issues and coordinate with IT service providers as needed.
