Aerospace Powerplant Development Opportunities

Milkor Integrated Systems, a leading aerospace company, is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Systems Engineer, focusing on aircraft powerplant projects. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with testing, integration, and analysis of data.

**Design and Analysis**
  • Utilize CAD software (Siemens NX) to create 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards.

**System Integration**
  • Understand the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems within the powerplant.
  • Assist in the development of system tests.
  • Support the troubleshooting and resolution of system integration issues.
  • Manage the data acquisition system for the engine facility and flight platform.

**Manufacturing and Production**
  • Understand manufacturing processes and tolerances.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design manufacturability.
  • Support the development of manufacturing documentation and work instructions.

**System Oversight**
  • Gradually assume responsibility for overseeing the powerplant system from an engineering perspective.
  • Support the engineering team in maintaining system configuration during development and the introduction of new powerplant options.
  • Collaborate with the design and integration teams to ensure system integrity and performance.

Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of industry experience, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Experience with power plants, thermodynamics, or propulsion systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Siemens NX.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and testing techniques.
  • Experience with data analysis and programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tolerances.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
