We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Financial Operations Manager to join our team at CA Financial Appointments.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified CA(SA) professional to shape financial strategies for funded projects in Cape Town. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing project bookkeeping, ensuring accurate accounting for VAT, managing cash-flow, and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project bookkeeping, including cashbook processing and journals
  • Ensure preparation of bank reconciliations and reviews
  • Provide oversight and compliance on project debit cards, staff debtors, and expense claims
  • Support programme directors with financial management
  • Review and release electronic payments and transfers
  • Manage completeness and accuracy of the fixed asset register
  • Oversee overall responsibility of the financial management/trial balance as allocated
  • Ensure accurate accounting for VAT
  • Manage preparation and execution of all funds-related audits
  • Assist with statutory audits
  • Manage cash-flow and loan account transfers
  • Prepare and submit monthly expense claims and financial reports on time
  • Reconcile all reports to the underlying financial system
Requirements
  • CA (SA) qualification
  • Minimum 2 years post-articles experience outside of an auditing environment
