About HR Genie: We are a dynamic and innovative company seeking a highly experienced Senior Logistics Director to lead our logistics operations. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes while driving strategic growth and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

About the Role:

  • Operational Management: You will oversee daily operations, ensuring that they comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements. Your expertise in optimizing resource utilization will improve operational efficiency.

  • Strategic Leadership: As a Senior Logistics Director, you will develop and implement long-term strategies to drive business growth. You will identify and capitalize on market opportunities, analyze industry trends, and anticipate challenges to implement proactive solutions.

  • Team Leadership: You will manage and mentor department heads and staff to build a cohesive and high-performing team. Fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement is crucial in this role.

  • Financial Oversight: You will develop and manage budgets to ensure profitability and cost control. Monitoring financial performance and preparing regular reports for senior leadership is essential in this position.

  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders is vital in this role. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and effective service delivery is also crucial.

  • Compliance and Risk Management: You will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Identifying and mitigating risks associated with logistics operations is also an essential part of this role.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage large-scale operations is essential. Strong analytical skills with a focus on long-term planning and growth are also required.

  • Problem-Solving: Adept at identifying issues and implementing effective solutions is crucial in this role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with clients, staff, and stakeholders are also necessary.

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in logistics software and tools to monitor and optimize operations is required. A deep understanding of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, is also essential.

  • Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or MBA is advantageous. 8+ years of experience in the logistics or supply chain industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, is also required.
