**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor / Associate Professor (Organic Chemistry) to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching organic chemistry at all levels of the chemistry program, supervising postgraduate students, and conducting an active research program.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Teaching organic chemistry courses at all levels
  • Supervising postgraduate students in medicinal chemistry, natural product synthesis, and natural product isolation
  • Conducting an active research program with a focus on medicinal chemistry, natural product synthesis, and natural product isolation
  • Participating in departmental and university service activities

**Requirements:**

  • PhD degree in Organic Chemistry
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development in a relevant field at tertiary level
  • Sustained publication of independent research in quality scientific journals
  • Sustained track record of successful supervision of postgraduate students at Masters and PhD level
  • Evidence of national and international recognition in a research area within the discipline
