Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Stellenbosch. As a key member of our network infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our core network.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, with experience in hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. They will also have expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS, as well as switching and network security.

Main Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement network architectures to meet business requirements.
  • Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration of network services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols, switching, and network security.
  • Experience with Mikrotik hardware and TCP/IP fundamentals.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Juniper knowledge is an advantage.
Education Requirements

Candidates must hold a minimum MTCNA certification and have a good understanding of networking concepts and technologies.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working standard hours with occasional after-hours availability.
