About the Role
  • Develop and implement proactive maintenance programs to prevent equipment failures and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Manage a team of mechanical artisans to ensure that all maintenance work is executed safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, cost control, and health and safety within the maintenance department.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure that all maintenance-related activities are executed effectively.

Requirements

  • Matric or equivalent qualification
  • Mechanical Trade Test passed
  • National Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (advantageous)
  • Minimum 10 years experience in maintenance supervisory roles in heavy engineering and continuous manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of World Class Manufacturing tools, processes, and systems
