Thegradcafe seeks a dedicated Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will provide exceptional patient care under the guidance of a physician or registered nurse. This role requires a strong focus on delivering high-quality care while adhering to established standards and best practices.
Main Responsibilities:
- The clinical assistant will perform basic patient care duties, including obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens. They will also assist providers in examination and treatment of patients and with procedures.
- The candidate will answer phone calls, record messages, and assist providers with patient-related calls.
- Scheduling test appointments, results, and pre-certification are key responsibilities.
- The clinical assistant will document patient information accurately.
- Assisting providers with medication refills and administering medications/immunizations according to provider order are critical tasks.
- Cleaning and restocking exam rooms, as well as cleaning equipment in accordance with policy, are essential responsibilities.
- The clinical assistant will perform routine clerical duties, including locating patient charts, filing, and completing routine forms.
- Regular attendance at required meetings, completion of in-service training, and performance of other duties as assigned are expected.
Qualifications:
- CERT
- LVN License in state of employment or compact
- BLS
