The Risk Quantification Specialist will be responsible for determining and updating default probabilities across clients, products, and portfolios based on historical, current, and market data patterns and trends.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Risk Quantification: Through predictive analytics, determine and update default probabilities across clients, products, and portfolios based on historical, current, and market data patterns and trends.
  • Data management and data analytics: Ensure accurate and timely data management and data analytics to inform business decisions.
  • Risk modelling, forecasting and capital management: Develop and maintain risk models, forecast potential losses, and manage capital allocation.
  • Collaboration with Finance and Treasury: Work closely with Finance and Treasury to contrast the likelihood of possible performance scenarios around key value drivers such as collections, impairments, disbursements, etc.

Requirements

  • CA(SA)/FRM/CFA/Masters in risk or postgraduate qualification in statistics
  • Relevant Degree (Statistical/Finance/Mathematical background)
  • MBA or similar (advantageous)
  • Proficient in SAS/R/SQL
  • Data analytics and data science (advantageous)
