Mechanical Draughtsman

A leading engineering company in Killarney Gardens is seeking an experienced Junior Draughts Person to join their team.

• Carry out detailed drafting work, including translating conceptual designs into detailed engineering drawings.
• Produce accurate, complete, and concise drawings, including parts, drawings, and assemblies.
• Transfer files effectively and accurately, preparing technical drawings for sheet metal parts (flat patterns).
• Liaise closely with manufacturing teams, explaining drawings to production teams and providing adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure conformance to customer specifications, company standards, and other regulation requirements.
• Carry out drafting requirements for new or existing projects, reviewing rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from colleagues.

• Matric certificate (attach copy).
• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Certificate in Draughting (Mechanical) (attach copy).
• Proficient in Solid Works, Auto Cad 2D, and MS Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Ability to think on one's feet and multi-task.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
• Deadline-oriented and able to work well under pressure.
• Punctual and willing to work overtime.
• Driver's license with own reliable transportation.
