Murray & Roberts Cementation is a leader in the provision of specialized mining services. We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Artisan Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment in our operations, working closely with the Foreman Engineering to achieve this goal.

Job Description

• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective self-management and alignment with M&RC values, including cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs, and competent team management.
• They will also be involved in electrical equipment installations and maintenance according to agreed standards, procedures, and specifications.
• In addition, they will engage in effective stakeholder engagement and contribute to the company's goal of providing remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must possess a Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent qualification.
• A Section 26 Electrical Trade Certificate or MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body is also required.
• Valid First Aid and Gas Testing Certificates are necessary, as well as good communication skills in English.
• The candidate should demonstrate analytical and attentive to detail skills, along with team leadership and management abilities.
• Self-motivation, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills within agreed parameters are essential.
• Able to make decisions within agreed parameters, sound learning agility, and adaptability to new technologies are also desirable.
