We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter Assistant/Arc Welder to join our team at Work Africa. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for assisting the lead technician with repairs, including gathering tools and parts, and performing other tasks to support the repair process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead technician with repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Gather tools and parts as required
  • Perform other tasks to support the repair process
  • Work with steam pipes, pipework, water reticulation, boiler maintenance, and welding
  • Organize and maintain the mechanical workshop tools and parts

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years working experience as a Mechanical Fitter
  • Extensive knowledge of all mechanical workshop tools
  • Well-organized and able to work effectively in a team
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Of sober habits and stable job history
