We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Data Insights Specialist to join our team at Specd. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Markets business area by enhancing and maintaining regulatory and compliance processes for Regulatory Reporting.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will possess experience in Financial Markets, particularly in trading, along with strong analytical skills and a functional understanding of Global Markets regulatory reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can navigate complex regulatory landscapes and contribute to the integrity and efficiency of reporting processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Quality Process Development: Develop and implement a data quality process to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data within Global Markets for Regulatory Reporting.
  • Monitoring Mechanisms: Establish data quality metrics and monitoring mechanisms to continuously assess and improve data quality.
  • Regulatory Data Governance: Ensure data governance for regulatory data, including data attestation and data lineage, to ensure the integrity, security, and usability of data used for Regulatory Reporting within Global Markets.
  • Specifications Creation: Accountability for creating specifications for data products/assets that enable regulations
  • Data Portfolio Management: Support the Global Markets data portfolio to ensure alignment with CIB data strategy, business objectives, and enterprise data governance.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with data legislations and regulations applicable to South Africa and other African countries where Global Markets operates.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Investment Banking / Capital Markets IT and Data domain, as well as 3-5 years of experience in a business analysis role working on projects related to Regulatory Reporting and data.

Mandatory Skills:

">
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical enough to understand the SDLC and trading systems and define specifications
  • Asset Classes: Good understanding of asset classes such as Equity, Fixed Income, Credit, FX, commodities, Interest Rates, Collateral, high level is all derivatives and non-derivative products and their product lifecycle.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Working experience on FMA, EMIR, Dodd Frank, CFTC and other relevant Markets Regulatory Reporting requirements.
  • Business Analysis: Strong Business Analysis skills to oversee regulatory reporting projects from inception to completion.
  • Communication: Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to effectively communicate with various departments and external regulatory bodies.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in regulatory reports and data submissions.
  • Regulatory Policies: Ability to interpret and apply regulatory policies and guidelines to business processes.
  • Regulatory and Risk Reporting: Strong knowledge of regulatory and risk reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Written Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Data Governance: Familiarity with data governance best practices and tools, as well as experience with Front Arena application as a primary system.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with various departments, including marketing, IT, and customer service.
  • Research: Ability to conduct thorough research on regulatory requirements and stay updated with changes in regulations.
