Fancourt is seeking a Senior Chef de PartieWe are currently looking for an experienced and skilled culinary professional to join our team at Fancourt. As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.
About the Job- Prepare and present food to 5-star standards, taking into account guest preferences and dietary requirements.
- Contribute ideas for potential additional revenue streams and assist in their implementation.
- Support the Sous Chef in menu development, trend research, and other tasks.
- Manage stock levels, perform cost analysis, and ensure inventory control.
- Lead and motivate staff, providing training and performance management.
- Maintain operating equipment and adhere to health and safety regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of Grade 12 (or equivalent NQF 4 certificate) and 6 months formal chefs training.
- No less than 5 years of experience as a Chef De Partie in a 4*/5* environment.
- Knowledge of fine dining, food ordering, and costing, as well as computer literacy on MS Office.
- Chefs Diploma, HACCP, and working knowledge of SAP are advantageous.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly pressurized environment. You must be physically and mentally fit, able to carry out all reasonable duties, and willing to work additional hours, weekends, and public holidays. The successful candidate will also need to work in various weather conditions.
