Job Description

The Emergency Care Professional will practice as clinical assistants in emergency medical care and rescue environments, upgrading the entry qualification into emergency medical services.

This role is an entry-level qualification that recognizes key competencies required of ECAs working under the guidance of Emergency Care Technicians, Emergency Care Practitioners, and Medical Officers in diverse contexts.

Holders of this qualification will primarily work in and around ambulances, operating in settings such as rural, urban, military, coastal, corporate, mass gatherings, homes, and workplaces.

The Emergency Care Professional will provide support services within the pre-hospital context.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure emergency call readiness
