Director of Hospitality Operations

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of Deputy General Manager for a large growing concern based in the scenic Drakensburg area, KwaZulu-Natal.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring seamless execution of all aspects of the business. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the food and beverage department, including delegating tasks to senior staff members
• Liaising with the General Manager on vendor contracts and services
• Overseeing maintenance and estates management, including fire break operations
• Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations
• Collaborating with security personnel to maintain a safe environment

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Grade 12 qualification and relevant hospitality or management certification
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar capacity, preferably as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Email/Internet
• Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle
• Micros knowledge or background is essential
