About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team on a 6 month contract opportunity within the Financial Services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit financial results of property subsidiaries
  • Manage fund controls/journals including intercompany related journals
  • Support the preparation and submission of regulatory returns of property subsidiaries
  • Verify intergroup/related party balances
  • Compile annual financial statements for property subsidiaries in accordance with accounting standards
  • Complete statutory returns for retirement funds
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects

Requirements:

  1. BCom/BTech qualification with financial accounting
  2. Minimum of 2 years' financial reporting experience within the Financial / Insurance industry
  3. Strong technical accounting knowledge
  4. SAP exposure will be advantageous
