About the role:

You will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality data engineering components and features. You will be part of a highly-motivated team with a strong-growth mindset - professionally and personally. The team is currently working on rolling out a new Data Platform for Nintex using the latest cloud technologies.

This is a one year contract.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  1. Lead agile development cycle meetings
  2. Develop and implement data engineering components and features
  3. Evaluate data quality and integrity
  4. Design and implement data workflows and pipelines
  5. Deliver data engineering functions that integrate multiple data sources
  6. Create data models that meet stakeholder requirements
  7. Analyze and optimize data processing and storage
  8. Pursue opportunities to improve data governance and standards
  9. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality features

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years experience in data engineering
  2. Bachelor's degree in computer science
  3. Cloud Platform experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  4. Cloud DBMS experience (Databricks / Snowflake / Amazon Redshift / BigQuery)
  5. Distributed Data frameworks experience (Hadoop / Spark / Flink)
  6. Programming experience (Java / Scala / Python)
  7. SQL knowledge (any variant is a good foundation but HiveQL / Spark SQL preferred)
  8. Source Control experience (Git)
  9. Database modeling knowledge (Snowflake Schema / Star Schema / Data Vault)
