You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide alternative business solutions using project management/Agile Release Trains (ART's). Your responsibilities will also include facilitating/participating in design review sessions, training users, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during system implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a configurable solution on Compass based on business requirements
  • Maintain effective communication with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management/Agile Release Trains (ART's)
  • Facilitate/participate in design review sessions to ensure seamless integration
  • Train users and troubleshoot any issues that arise during system implementation
  • Investigate system problems and collaborate with the Application Managed Services (AMS) team to remediate production issues
  • Create functional and technical specifications/user stories for enhanced system understanding
Additional Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to business users, ensuring prompt resolution of queries
  • Review test plans and the test book for each project release before User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Conduct thorough systems testing to guarantee alignment with technology business requirement specifications
  • Support system testing and validation processes
  • Mentor and support junior Compass Configurers to enhance skills and knowledge sharing
  • Apply patch configuration to maintain the software version up-to-date
  • Collaborate with developers/architects and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs
  • Gain a deep understanding of the Compass Retail product setup/offering
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in business requirements analysis
  • Compass configuration experience of at least 5-7 years
  • Experience in the insurance industry is essential
  • A working knowledge of AGILE methodology
  • Able to write basic Oracle SQL queries will be an advantage
Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of Matric certification
  • Relevant Agile certification and training
  • Safe Program Consultants (SPC) certification is compulsory
