Position Overview:
This is a full-time opportunity for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer with Network Contracting.

In this role, you will take charge of data modeling, dashboard development, and leveraging your analytical expertise to deliver significant insights to clients.

This position offers a hybrid work environment, primarily based in Johannesburg, with the option for remote work depending on performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Design, construct, and implement BI solutions (e.g., data warehousing frameworks).
  • Assess and enhance current BI systems.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to integrate various systems.
  • Create and execute database queries and perform analyses.
  • Develop visualizations and reports for assigned projects.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation.
  • Provide client data support.
  • Oversee and maintain data analytics platforms.
  • Conduct unit testing and resolve issues.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, informatics, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate in Business Intelligence Development.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert in Data Management & Analytics.
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer.

Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) and data mining.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Familiarity with BI technologies such as Power BI, DAX, Microsoft SQL, T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and the Microsoft BI Stack.
  • Knowledge of Azure services including Storage Blob, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis Service, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Integration Runtime.
  • Understanding of ERP, CRM, and other business applications and processes.

Additional Experience:
  • Ability to independently gather requirements from stakeholders, design, and implement solutions based on the provided specifications in ongoing projects.

Requirements:
Must be fully bilingual in both English and Afrikaans.
Must possess a degree.
Ideally, 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
