Job Summary:

Farm Manager SA is seeking a highly skilled UAV Service Specialist to join our team in Gauteng. As a key member of our agricultural drone support team, you will be responsible for executing and overseeing the drone service and repair strategy in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain service and support documentation for third-party authorized service providers, ensuring consistent, high-quality post-sale service.
  • Manage and nurture technical relationships with business partners, ensuring they have the training and the parts on hand for excellent service.
  • As a licensed Remote Pilot (RPL), lead demonstration days, training sessions, and ongoing support in the region.
  • Become a XAG Product expert and highlight the key benefits of the XAG drone range, providing technical assistance to close sales deals with potential customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, mechatronics, or a related field, with a keen focus on drones, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related role in service and support.
  • Must have completed your RPL (Remote Pilot License (VLOS)) license with proven flight experience.
  • Experience in customer technical training, both in classroom and field settings, comfortable and confident presentation skills.
  • A strong passion for the commercial agricultural drone market.
  • Proactive with the ability to prioritize tasks and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, both locally and internationally.
