As a Senior Manager: Student Accommodation, you will be responsible for identifying new student accommodation opportunities and evaluating their feasibility. This includes site sourcing in South Africa and Africa, performing due diligence on potential development opportunities, and assembling a team of professionals to design and develop new projects.
You will also be responsible for assessing the feasibility of new developments, ensuring all costs are accounted for, and managing development teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing documentation required for development, conducting research and market analysis, and ensuring that budgets for research trips are intact.
You will also provide input for student life programs and budgets, track student life programs, and engage with stakeholders and sponsors.
Furthermore, you will assist in deliverables for the SASAII Board, engage with all departments to ensure the student accommodation asset class is performing according to KPIs, and maintain relationships with university personnel and stakeholders.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need a graduate qualification and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a property or building-related industry.
You will also need an established network in the property sector, a proven record of new business development, deal-making experience, and team management skills.
