Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Equipment Procurement: Assist in the selection and procurement of electrical equipment to meet business objectives.
  • Asset Mechanical Reliability (AMR): Achieve AMR business objectives and support the Operations team in meeting asset capability (AC) objectives.
  • Equipment Strategies: Participate in and assist with developing and maintaining equipment strategies to optimize performance.
  • Preventative Measures: Provide assistance in developing and implementing preventative measures for existing structural conditions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Provide technical knowledge to the Technical team regarding reliability improvements, repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment design requirements.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with the Engineering Manager and complete tasks assigned by the Engineering and Projects Drawing departments.
  • Technology Solutions: Assist with developing and evaluating solutions for most effective technology (MET).
  • Power Management: Manage different power sources on our plant, including Eskom, Generators, and Solar.
  • Communication: Possess good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting: Demonstrate troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Organizational Skills: Be organized with good planning and administration skills.
  • Teamwork: Possess a technical sales personality with the ability to work in a team.
  • Rotational Training: Be open to a rotational training programme, working in projects, technical, maintenance, and production.
  • Relocation: Candidates must live within the area or be willing to relocate closer to the company.

Requirements

  • BEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is essential.
