Key Responsibilities

The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: defining, monitoring, and improving upon the Quality Assurance process and practices; executing the quality control process, including taking ownership of product acceptance testing; enhancing test data as new product features are established; collaborating with product stakeholders to investigate and adapt the quality assurance process to address emerging issues; training team members on quality assurance control process and policies; initiating and owning the handover of acceptance testing from the customer success team to Quality Assurance; defining, documenting, and maintaining the product acceptance testing strategy/approach; expanding the depth of testing as product knowledge improves; managing test environments installed on a Linux operating system; managing test data in flat files and in MySQL/Postgres RDBMS using SQL DDL and DML; using Git repositories to manage source code, including experience in using a Git platform such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket in an IDE as well as on the command-line; using Postman to explore, document, and test APIs; building automated acceptance tests using tools such as Selenium Webdriver with Cucumber and/or Microsoft Playwright; performing testing within a Java development team; using and maintaining GitHub or GitLab CI/CD pipelines; using and maintaining Docker containers within a cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
