Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing and signing off year-end financial statements, managing tax compliance, and handling VAT matters. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and review year-end financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial reporting requirements.
    • Sign off on financial statements and liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
  2. Tax Planning:
    • Prepare and submit corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
    • Provide tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax liabilities.
    • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
  3. VAT Management:
    • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
    • Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and maintain proper documentation.
    • Provide guidance on VAT-related queries and assist in VAT audits.
  4. Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is essential.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on year-end financials, tax, and VAT.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Estimated Salary: R850,000 - R1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
