Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Press Toolmaker and Production Specialist to join our team at Sheldon Recruitment and Selection. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and maintaining all machines within the press shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up new tools and tool development, with a focus on press tool design
  • Fully understand CAD drawings and work in 3D modelling programs
  • Attend to all tooling and machine breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Manufacture and repair press tools, jigs, and fixtures, as well as changeover press tools for different component set-ups
  • Ensure sufficient stock for high-wearing and high-volume running tools, and order machine spares as needed
  • Staff management and training, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines

Requirements
  • Grade 12 with toolmaker or related trade test qualification essential
  • Working knowledge of press tooling and shop floor experience
  • 6+ years production/technical experience in a manufacturing environment/production facility in the Press Shop Dept
  • Knowledge of IATF quality system
  • MS Office literate with high energy levels

Salary
R22,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month, dependent on experience
