Job Description: Senior Concrete Specialist

Overview:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of concrete-related activities throughout the project lifecycle, including design consultation, material selection, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead concrete-related aspects of construction projects from inception through to completion.
  • Provide expert advice on concrete mix designs, materials selection, and construction techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure concrete works are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and assessments for concrete structures and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to monitor and evaluate concrete performance during construction.
  • Oversee testing and inspection of concrete materials and structures to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and site personnel on best practices in concrete technology and construction methods.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in concrete materials and construction techniques.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations related to concrete activities for internal stakeholders and clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
  • Professional certification or licensure in Concrete Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in concrete technology and construction, with a focus on large-scale projects in the Middle East.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery in a senior or leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for concrete mix design, testing, and analysis.
