We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team in Johannesburg East.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. To display leadership qualities by overseeing the management of training, coaching, and development requirements for employees.
  2. To drive financial planning and results by aligning financial strategies with the company's BBBEE transformational agenda.
  3. To implement robust control measures and checks across departments to mitigate any financial risk to the business.
  4. To oversee the recording and delivery of all financial transactions using the services of the company for all financial functions of the unit.
  5. To manage stakeholder relationships through collaboration with the Shared Services department.
  6. To be responsible for the ownership of annual audit and financial statements.
  7. To have control over assets and fixed asset accounting.
  8. To prepare and review taxation and tax compliance.
  9. To compile and maintain budgets.
  10. To prepare financial packs for submission to the Board of Directors.
Requirements
  • BCom in Accounting/Finance.
  • Completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in staff management.
  • Registered with a Professional Accounting body advantageous.
  • Industry experience: Gambling/Hospitality.
  • Great Plains experience beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of SA Tax/Gambling Tax.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Team player.
  • Deadline driven.
  • Works effectively under pressure.
