Risk Management Professional

We are looking for a talented Risk Management Professional to partner with us in Johannesburg. This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in finance, accounting or risk management to drive large-scale projects that promote compliance with local regulations.

In this role, you will collaborate with financial institutions to maximize their return on implementing new regulations, leveraging your knowledge of Basel 3/4, IFRS 9, IFRS 17 and other regulations.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Honours/Master's degree in relevant subject matter (i.e., finance, accounting or risk management)
  • Min. of 1 year working experience within a financial institution (preference will be given to candidates with banking experience)
  • Proven track record of working within relevant teams such as Credit Risk, Capital Management, Treasury, Impairments, Regulatory Reporting or Risk Management
  • Systems knowledge: SAS, SQL or Python

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementing regulations facing South African banks and financial institutions
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across various levels, including senior executives and technology teams
  • Applying theoretical knowledge in a practical fashion within project teams
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on relevant regulations
